For now the client binaries only work on Microsoft Windows. Luckily you can get them running via a compatibility layer that you use on your Linux distribution.

The changes that are associated with these versions can be found in the Changelog page via the top navigation menu.

v1.4.6-beta

New patch content has been added alongside this version:

• (Optional) Enhanced shaders from Stayd's Enhanced Shaders v3.0
• (Optional) Lantern texture from Amnesia: Collection Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions
• (Optional) Muted very loud and deafening insanity ear ringing sound
• (Optional) New Frictional Games logo on pre-menu boot screen

If you do not want the optional patch content and wish to have the game look as vanilla as possible with the new client, you can now pick and choose:
