WARNING: This was made as a rough draft so things are getting revised a ton. Sorry if this looks a little rushed. Things will be updated very soon.
This will be updated as soon as I gather more information. I will not send the Google Drive link by SpaceHunyango which contained leaks of my personal messages.
A while back I used to be a good friend of Deathclaw back then in early-mid 2022 or so. A couple of months later he invited me to join Doom Haven, and almost a year later I got promoted to the moderation team in DH; which meant I could take care of everything to moderate the server as best as I (and the rest of the team) could. Could have, unfortunately, since there were some growing mismanagement and staff issues over time as I was promoted. The team had either picked some of their random members or friends to do moderation; they mostly picked them because of favoritism, rather than picking someone they trusted to actually take care of the whole server and watch over it almost daily. This had caused even more problems: delays in communication, and apparent mismanagement in the staff. Sometimes the moderation was so bad that some of the admins were prone to powertripping and people kept getting demoted front-and-center.
We also had a lot of people getting very confused on the navigation of the server; the general chat name was #the-asylum
and there was another channel called #doom-chat
. Guess what: new people kept coming to the #doom-chat
channel as if it was the general chat. So, we had to deal with the tedious task of having to tell them "This is not the general chat, please go to #the-asylum
". So I did what a normal person could and proposed a request for the administration team to change the name of #the-asylum
to simply #general-chat
. This was a very simple request that if accepted, could have led newcomers to the right direction immediately upon joining the server. Unfortunately to my dismay the request was dismissed and the original channel name was kept. The reason was that the channel name (#the-asylum
) was supposed to be some sort of an inside joke (apparently from Deathclaw's mental health issues and some details about running away from his family). Still, no one understood it; again, we saw new people getting confused, and we had to deal with the task of directing people to #the-asylum
whenever they got lost.
Besides the moderation issues, most of the chat was off-topic and sometimes I never felt comfortable participating in almost all of their conversations. It was either some random egg joke, borderline NSFW jokes, or just spamming memes. Nowhere did I ever see any conversation that was related to Doom (or any of the other Doom games). Also the original #doom-chat
channel that people kept running into was dead since it barely had any activity, and so they deleted it. Nothing changed at all even after the #doom-chat
channel was removed; it was still the same shitposting with a considerable lack of topics on the subject matter (which was obviously about Doom, the Doom games, and all the mods for it). Most of it directly contradicted the server's original purpose and people kept leaving after it was getting stale for a while.
Later at noon on December 29th, 2023, while I was about to celebrate the New Years' Eve, I received an interesting message in my DMs:
The nature of his messages were more than attention-seeking. It was a pathetic attempt at seeking acceptance for something that is remotely mundane and nonsensical. Honestly, I am more than grateful that I still don't know what a demiboy is and I have still yet to hear a clear explanation of what that is to begin with. Eventually a few days later that simple disagreement I had turned into a heated argument and as a result caused Deathclaw to call me a baby; I was demoted, and we momentarily parted ways after he had a hissy fit with me. As I left, I was beyond infuriated how terribly he handled it; calling me a baby because I essentially had a free opinion. I thought it was okay to disagree with someone if what they were doing didn't make any sense or was just extremely unnecessary. But I guess to him it probably wasn't.
After the incident, Norb was pissed off at me because of the way I handled it; if anything, Deathclaw was at fault for trying to get my attention for something that isn't even a problem in the first place. And so we remained friends until he decided to pull the same attention-seeking tactic on late June 2024:
I should also respond to the leaked DMs by SpaceHunyango and the accusation of me sending pictures to minors "for no reason": first of all, we were both minors at the time (Norb was 15 and I was 17), and as embarrassing as it is to say, we both had our horny antics. I was not really well in the head at the time and I gave into sending those pictures to him. It was quite a stupid idea on my part to send them, but this is how it was back then.
Here is Norb liking those pictures. Said pictures have been removed due to their intimate nature:
A part of me kind of wishes that I would either purge all my messages or just cut ties with him around the same time I left Deathclaw, but the proof is in the pudding now. It's not a big deal anymore and there is probably no point in having to worry about an accusation which was entirely victimless. So call this temporarily "done and over with" for now.
Recently some time in September 2024 a witness (Ruby) had told me about Nightmare; she was banned from Doom Haven because she called him out for defending someone who was grooming 3 minors; all of whom were female. I do not know if this is true, but how this situation was constantly swept under the rug between Doom Haven staff is something that I have yet to understand.
Here is a uncovered image of Nightmare sending messages to someone who was 19 years old (he was 31 at the time):
